Your Association has been busy over the summer organizing fundraising campaigns to complete 3 projects.

1) Our Development Committee’s “Make Peter’s Path a Walk for All” Corporate Sponsorship Campaign began 9 days ago. Peter’s Path, which connects Lower Road with Kelly Park and is widely used by families, seniors, and participants in the KPSA summer program, has fallen into a state of deterioration over the last decade. We have raised $14,314.00, however, this summer’s increased costs in fuel and materials have resulted in a shortfall of $6K to meet our fall construction costs. The response has been very positive so far and we hope to reach our goal over the next few weeks. For more information on this project click here Rebuilding Peter's Path Trail.  Thanks to all companies who have donated so far. Private donations are also accepted.

2) Our Veterans Memorial Committee’s “Win a Grand in Your Hand” Ticket Drive Campaign began at the Festival of Friends concert at Kelly Park in August.   Funds raised will be used to 1) offset the increased cost of shipping the granite from China and the local engraving of the 2-pedestal style memorial engraved tablets for the Veterans Memorial; and 2) to cover some additional costs for the O’Brien Family War Memorial storyboard, which will be installed alongside the grotto. For more information on these 2  projects click here Expansion of the Veterans Memorial - Phase II and here Restoration of the O'Brien Family War Memorial - Phase II Storyboard). You can still purchase a book of 4 tickets for $20.00 (2400 printed) by emailing lbmcocdevassoc@gmail.com or messaging us on Facebook (/LBMCOCDA). The DRAW DATE is Thanksgiving Day October 10, 2022. We are hoping to raise $7K. Thanks to all people who have bought tickets so far. We are planning to have both projects finished in time for the November 11 Remembrance Day service.

3) Our first-ever Used Book Sale Fundraiser for St. Francis of Assisi's extra-curriculum activity program is going ahead this fall. Stay tuned for the announcement of dates and locations for book drop-off and the big sale. Save your books.
