Great turn out for our Volunteer Celebration event on Tuesday night, April 18, at the Justina Centre. Our Association joined with our Town Council to celebrate National Volunteer Week with local volunteers at the Justina Centre. About thirty-five volunteers ranging in ages from teens to seniors in their 80s from many clubs, school, church, Council, and our Association were joined by our MHA Joedy Wall for a wonderful evening of music, food, and refreshments. Both our Chair and Mayor Hickey welcomed our special guest and thank them, and all the other volunteers who couldn’t attend, for sharing their time and efforts in making our Town, and the lives of its residents, that much better – Volunteering Weaves us Together!

Special thanks to the Community Sector Council NL for a grant of $100. Big shout out to Town Manager, Susan Arns, and Event Coordinator, Allison Whitty, and LBDA’s Vice-chair, Stephen Griffin, for organizing the event.
