Farah McCrate

Director

Farah McCrate lives in Logy Bay with her husband and daughter. She is an avid outdoors person, enjoying hiking, sea kayaking, and camping. She is passionate about the conservation of the natural world, protecting species and spaces, and fostering connections to the land. Farah has lived in Logy Bay for almost ten years and grew up in this community, attending St. Francis of Assisi School. She holds an MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Bath, UK, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Epidemiology from Memorial University. She has spent most of her career in research and the health system and continues to work with a health-related organization – the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer. Farah has skills and knowledge in leadership, communication, research, ethics, data analysis and management, diversity, equity, inclusion, and reconciliation. Farah is a member of our Communications & Marketing Committee.
