The Veterans Memorial Committee of our Association kicked off its fundraiser this past Sunday at the Festival of Friends concert at Kelly Park.  Crisis on the world stage has affected the supply chain and the cost of doing business both internationally and at home. Funds raised will be used to offset the increased cost of shipping the granite from China and the local engraving of the 2-pedestal style memorial engraved tablets (see picture below). These tablets will have the names of all residents who served and passed in both armed conflicts and peacekeeping operations. We are planning to have the tablets installed by November 11, 2022.

Tickets are $5.00 each or a book of 4 tickets for $20.00. The draw date is October 10, 2022, at the Justina Centre in Kelly Park, and will be live streamed on our Facebook page (/LBMCOCDA). Tickets are available by contacting one of our directors nearest you or message us or Michelle Hickey through our respective Facebook pages. We will also have popup ticket sales around town at various venues and events.

Thanks to all of those who bought tickets on Sunday - we raised $930.00.
